Henry Rueda

Henry Rueda holds a degree in architecture from Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo in Universidad Central de Venezuela and a master’s in advanced architectural design from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. He has taught at Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño at Universidad Jose Maria Vargas, FAU Universidad Central de Venezuela and Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela. His professional experience includes working for Jesus Tenreiro in Caracas, Venezuela and Wiel Arets in Maastricht, Holland. His current work focuses on Single Family Residences in different cities in Venezuela and in Miami. In 2014 his VL House was nominated for the Emerging Architects Mies Crown Hall Prize of the Americas, organized by the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

Henry is based in Miami since the summer of 2014 when he joined the Department of Architecture at Florida International University and is currently a full-time faculty.
