Diana López is a Venezuelan visual artist, cultural manager, and activist. She developed her artistic style in the 1990s, focusing on participation and collaboration with other creators in the production of her pieces. In 1994, she became the first woman to receive the Eugenio Mendoza Art Prize. In 1996, she participated in the MoMa Ps1 International Program. Her work includes photography, video, performance, and installations. López has worked for over two decades in cultural institutions devoted to local development and community participation. When she was the Director of Cultura Chacao (Caracas), she implemented strategies to revitalize urban communities through public art programs, street festivals, and the construction of a vigorous infrastructure: Centro Cultural Chacao and Biblioteca Los Palos Grandes. She is currently the Director of Archivo Fotografía Urbana @fotourbana and activist of @accionlibertad

Diana López es una artista visual, gestora cultural y activista venezolana. Desarrolló su estilo artístico en la década de 1990, centrándose en la participación y colaboración con otros creadores en la producción de sus piezas. En 1994, se convirtió en la primera mujer en recibir el Premio de Arte Eugenio Mendoza. En 1996, participó en el Programa Internacional MoMa Ps1. Su trabajo incluye fotografía, video, performance e instalaciones. López ha trabajado durante más de dos décadas en instituciones culturales dedicadas al desarrollo local y la participación comunitaria. Cuando fue Directora de Cultura Chacao (Caracas), implementó estrategias para revitalizar comunidades urbanas a través de programas de arte público, festivales callejeros y la construcción de una vigorosa infraestructura: Centro Cultural Chacao y Biblioteca Los Palos Grandes.
